It’s starting to get colder. That means it’s getting to the time to pull out those winter items. Jackets, gloves, scarves, and beanies. But wearing a beanie makes it difficult to wear your headphones.

Most beanies won’t fit over your headphones. And you don’t want rain or snow ruining your headphones either. There must be a simple solution.

Why not a Bluetooth Beanie?

That way, you can stay warm, listen to music, watch videos, or even make phone calls just by wearing your beanie!

So, let’s go through the very best Bluetooth beanies out there and find the perfect choice for you…

Top 7 Best Bluetooth Beanies In 2023 Review

  1. Blueear – Best Long Battery Life Bluetooth Beanie
  2. Highever Music Hat – Best Bluetooth Beanie for Calls
  3. Qshell – Best Bluetooth 4.1 Beanie
  4. Pococina – Most Stylish Bluetooth Beanie
  5. Tenergy – Most Comfortable Bluetooth Beanie
  6. Levin – Best Budget Bluetooth Beanie
  7. ZecRek – Loudest Bluetooth Beanie

1 Blueear – Best Long Battery Life Bluetooth Beanie

This Blueear beanie is knitted from 100% acrylic material. We found it to be soft and warm to wear. There are seven different designs to choose from, mostly black and gray colors and one white.

You can clean the beanie in a washing machine, but first, you must remove the electronic components. It’s not suitable for heavy rain or snow as there is no waterproof rating. Light rain or snow is fine, though.

That’s like music to my ears…

Bluetooth 5.0 is used for connecting to devices like your smartphone, tablet, or computer. Great for listening to music while on the go. It also makes watching your favorite streaming service more immersive.

After charging for only two hours, you can enjoy up to eight hours of playback. That should cover you for an entire workday. Standby time is up to 120 hours, so a quick charge when you get home should keep you covered.

Tech in a beanie?

A built-in lithium ion battery can be recharged using the included USB cable. On the leather patch, there are three buttons that can control volume up and down, skip track, and play/pause. Additionally, the play/pause button can be used to answer calls.

That’s right, answer calls. Not only are there stereo speakers, but a built-in microphone also enables you to talk hands-free on your smartphone. Now you can keep your gloves on too and stay even warmer.

Blueear

Our rating:4.3 out of 5 stars (4.3 / 5)

Pros

  • Bluetooth 5.0 connection.
  • Hands-free phone calls.
  • Comfortable beanie.

Cons

  • Acrylic material, no cotton or wool.
  • Limited color choices.

2 Highever Music Hat – Best Bluetooth Beanie for Calls

For those who like black, you’re in luck. With the color choice of black or dark black, Highever has you covered. Well, your head is covered anyway. Not only is it covered, but you can also listen to full stereo sound too.

Made from polyester, we found this beanie to be soft, warm, and comfortable. Although there aren’t many choices, the plain and simple design is still attractive. It would suit both men and women. After all, black goes with everything.

The sound of stealth…

With the components cleverly built inside, it’s hard to tell that this isn’t a regular beanie. Devices can be paired using Bluetooth 5.0, giving a stable and reliable connection. The speakers provide clear sound with reasonable bass.

A full charge takes about two hours to complete. You can then listen to around ten hours of audio. Standby time is claimed as 60 hours. We were able to comfortably get an average day’s use without recharging.

What’s hiding inside?

Highever uses lithium-ion battery technology, and a USB cable is included for charging. There is the same three button layout for controlling your music and phone calls. There, however, is one extra addition to this beanie to enhance your calls.

The built-in microphone uses noise-canceling technology. This works by removing the background noise while you are talking on the phone. We found we could hear clearly with minimal distraction.

Highever Music Hat

Our rating:4.4 out of 5 stars (4.4 / 5)

Pros

  • Noise-canceling microphone.
  • Good battery life.
  • Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity.

Cons

  • Only available in black.
  • No style choices.

3 Qshell – Best Bluetooth 4.1 Beanie

If you like to remain fashionable, then the Qshell might be for you. With an incredible 33 different design choices, we’re sure you’ll be able to find something that matches your favorite outfit.

Using 100% acrylic fiber, the beanie does a great job of keeping you warm on those cold days. It felt comfortable to wear and didn’t cause any irritation after a few hours. The hardest thing is picking the color and style.

It may look good, but does it sound good?

Bluetooth is still used for pairing to devices, but it is version 4.1, not 5.0, like some others. The main difference is that it uses a little more power to operate, and data speeds are slower. Nothing majorly noticeable, though.

Two 10w speakers deliver the sound through the beanie. Volume levels are OK, and sound quality is decent. Don’t expect any driving bass lines, and you’ll be fine. The sound could be heard clearly in an outdoor environment.

What else can we expect?

Power is supplied using a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. Of course, a USB cable is supplied for charging. After a two hour charge, you can expect around six hours of playback time. Reasonable, but not the best here.

Included are the standard three button controls for audio and phone calls. There is an in-built microphone that is functional but nothing exceptional. It’s a stylish, comfortable beanie that provides reasonable sound from your devices.

Qshell

Our rating:4.3 out of 5 stars (4.3 / 5)

Pros

  • Many style choices.
  • Comfortable fit.
  • Rechargeable battery.

Cons

  • Limited battery life.
  • Microphone is functional at best.

4 Pococina – Most Stylish Bluetooth Beanie

Next, we have another of the Best Bluetooth Beanies, which features numerous color and style choices, with 13 different combinations available. Ranging from plain colors to mixed patterns, there are some great designs to choose from.

Using mixed acrylic and polyester fibers, you won’t feel any irritation even after all-day wearing. We liked the soft feel and found the beanie to be relatively comfortable.

What does a beanie sound like?

Featuring two speakers that produce OK sound at a reasonable volume. The sound clarity is acceptable, even though being nearly completely devoid of any bass. Better for watching videos on YouTube than listening to an orchestra.

The built-in microphone makes it possible to make phone calls. The other person will hear you, but unfortunately, they will also hear anything else going on around you. Functional for indoor calls, but basically unusable outdoors.

Connections and charging…

The beanie uses Bluetooth 4.2 for pairing. The connection is stable and works well for audio, but not as well for phone calls. Still, it’s compatible with any smartphone, tablet, or computer with Bluetooth.

Pococina uses a lithium ion battery that can be charged via USB. After a two hour charge, we managed just over three hours of continuous playback. Make sure you bring the cable if you’re traveling anywhere.

Pococina

Our rating:4.1 out of 5 stars (4.1 / 5)

Pros

  • Range of colors and styles.
  • Comfortable fit.
  • Bluetooth compatibility.

Cons

  • Poor battery life.
  • Not great for phone calls.

5 Tenergy – Most Comfortable Bluetooth Beanie

This is the most comfortable beanie we tried. Using a braid cable knit design, this fleece-lined beanie feels great on your head. It does a great job of keeping your head warm on those chilly days too.

Available in three different colors, light blue, a dusty red, and a mustard yellow. We rather liked the colors as they were different, but without being too out there. Of course, it’s not just how it looks; how is the sound?

Looks good, sounds good…

The Tenergy beanie has some of the clearest sound so far. The volume level is loud enough to be heard outdoors, without being so distracting that you can’t hear a car approaching. We enjoyed both music and video content sound quality.

Bluetooth 4.2 is used for pairing, and it works pretty well. It stays connected up to 33 feet (10 meters) away. This makes pairing with a laptop easy, as you can still wander around a little without losing the connection.

Want to see what I can pull out of this hat?

The rechargeable lithium ion battery lasts for about five hours of continuous playback on a single charge. The best results so far from the older 4.2 Bluetooth technology. Like the rest of the beanies, a full charge takes around two hours.

The built-in microphone was decent too. We could hear background noise when outdoors, but the caller could still be made out clearly. The two year warranty also makes this a strong contender.

Tenergy

Our rating:4.6 out of 5 stars (4.6 / 5)

Pros

  • Clear sound outdoors.
  • 2-year warranty included.
  • Very comfortable to wear.

Cons

  • Limited color choices.
  • Older 4.2 Bluetooth.

6 Levin – Best Budget Bluetooth Beanie

The most affordable option here, the Levin beanie, still manages to deliver fantastic inclusions. Color choices are limited to black, gray, or white, but we think they look great and feel comfortable too.

Made from soft yarn with a fleece lining inside, it keeps your head warm on those cold days. Soft to the touch plus not at all itchy. The material is stretchy and fits well. It didn’t slip on our head and also wasn’t too tight.

A nice surprise…

Want Bluetooth 5.0 in your budget beanie? Well, Levin has just that. This enables longer battery life and a more stable connection—something we weren’t expecting at this price point.

A single charge of its battery will give up to eight hours of continuous use. Levin uses a 100mAh li-polymer battery that can be recharged via USB in around two hours. We had a solid day’s use easily before charging.

Extra touches…

The other feature we enjoyed using this product was the compatibility with Siri for iPhone. This makes for a truly hands-free experience. The in-built microphone was also incredibly clear for a budget product.

Keeping safety in mind, there is an overheat circuit protection system. Great for if there is light rain or snow while out and about. Overall, we were very impressed with the inclusions for a product in this price range.

Levin

Our rating:4.5 out of 5 stars (4.5 / 5)

Pros

  • Bluetooth 5.0 pairing.
  • Compatible with Siri.
  • Affordable option.

Cons

  • Limited color choices.
  • Plain design.

7 ZecRek – Loudest Bluetooth Beanie

ZecRek is really serious about keeping you warm. So much, in fact, that they include a neck warmer/half-face mask with every beanie. There is only a choice of black or gray for colors, but we think they look great.

The beanie is thick and comfy to wear. We couldn’t find exactly what material is used, but it’s certainly soft. We would guess a mix of knit and cotton. The beanie is only one part. What about the sound?

This beanie rocks…

Definitely the loudest of all the beanies we tried. Pumping out 120db of sound, there is no trouble blasting your tunes outdoors. The sound quality is decent but does begin to lose quality if pushed too high.

The other strength this beanie has is battery life. ZecRek uses a 250mAh li-polymer rechargeable battery. This, amazingly, gives up to 20 hours of continuous playback. Easily the longest we tried.

Keeping things on the inside…

Pairing to your device is achieved using 4.2 Bluetooth technology. The familiar three button control system is located on the right side providing all the regular functions. We had no problems connecting or controlling our device.

The in-built microphone was functional, and phone calls were possible from outdoors. We could hear the caller clearly; however, there was significant background noise on the other end. Workable, but nothing exceptional.

ZecRek

Our rating:4.5 out of 5 stars (4.5 / 5)

Pros

  • Very long battery life.
  • Loud sound.
  • Bonus neck warmer.

Cons

  • Older 4.2 Bluetooth.
  • Microphone is not great.

Best Bluetooth Beanies Buying Guide

OK, so it’s now decided that you need a Bluetooth Beanie. Chances are before reading this; you didn’t even realize how much you needed one. What a great invention. An affordable solution for keeping your head warm while at the same time listening to some music.

Not only can you play tunes, watch movies, or even laugh at some vines on YouTube, you can make and receive calls too. All this while keeping your hands free to work, exercise, or just ride some public transport.

But How Do You Know Which Of These Will Suit You Best?

Tenergy

We’re sure you won’t be disappointed with any of these beanies, but we’ll help you make an informed decision.

Where Will I Use It Most?

Do You Spend A Lot Of Time Outdoors?

If you do, then you will want to choose a beanie capable of high volume, with a clear microphone, and long battery life. This is because you will need to compete with background noise and also won’t have somewhere handy to charge.

Do You Spend More Time Indoors, Or On Public Transport?

If this is the case, you may want something with a bit more style. We found that the more stylish beanies delivered slightly less capable sound quality. However, this wouldn’t be as much of an issue in these environments.

Would You Like To Play Sports?

In this case, you want a beanie that fits very well and will keep you warm while outside. A fleece lining will certainly help, along with making it comfortable while wearing it for extended periods.

Is Audio Or Call Quality More Important?

 Bluetooth Beanie Hat Bluetooh 5.0

Will you mainly be listening to music or watching videos? The microphone will have less importance, and you can go for something with higher sound quality. You can still have the ability to make and answer calls, but more just to tell someone to call you back later.

If you need to make regular calls, then you want to have a noise-canceling microphone. This will definitely help ensure the person on the other end can hear you clearly.

You should now find it easier to pick a beanie that’s right for you. If by now, you’re still undecided, next, we will reveal our overall top choice.
