1 Kensington Duo Gel Mouse Pad with Wrist Rest – Blue (K62401AM) – Best Gel Ergonomic Mouse Pad
The Kensington Duo Gel Mouse Pad measures 9.45” wide by 7.17” long. It is surrounded by a rigid base that incorporates the gel wrist rest as well.
The gel padding of the wrist rest is 1 inch high…
Laying your wrist over it, you will notice the gel is soft and relaxing.
It has two-toned gel pads that provide ventilation and give it a premium look. While using the gel wrist rest, your arm will stay nice and cool and will not stick to the surface of the actual gel cushion.
Superb mouse tracking precision…
Moving your mouse across the smooth surface of the pad is enjoyable. It tracks very well no matter the type of sensor your mouse uses. The fact that the surface is so smooth, means you will find small mouse movements very precise.
After using the pad throughout the day, we noticed that it would grip the surface it is placed on well too…
This was nice in the fact that even with the pressure you put down on the mouse, the pad stays in place and won’t slide. If you want to move the mouse pad to another location on your desk, you will need to clean the bottom of it so it will hold a grip on the new surface.
- Duo-toned colored gel pads.
- Solid base with a sticky non-slip base.
- Increased ventilation.
- The non-slip surface will lose traction if it is not cleaned.
2 3M Precise Mouse Pad with Gel Wrist Rest, Soothing Gel Comfort with Durable, Easy to Clean Leatherette Cover, Optical Mouse Performance and Battery Saving Design, 8.6″ x 6.8″, Black (MW309LE) – Best Battery Saving Ergonomic Mouse Pad
Once you unbox this 3M Mouse Pad with Gel Wrist Rest, you notice just how sleek it looks.
It features a leatherette type cover that houses the 3M gel insert for added comfort. The leatherette cover is smooth to the touch and measures 0.75” by 0.75” in size.
Molds to your wrist…
The gel 3M uses in the wrist rest feels firm at first but molds to shape over time. It provides decent relief, especially if you are using your mouse over an extended amount of time.
You may notice your arm getting a little sticky throughout the day due to the material the cover is made from. It does feature antimicrobial protection, though, and is resistant to stains and odors.
Battery saving design…
The 6.8” wide by 8.6” long mouse pad surface has tiny grooves throughout. This textured surface can extend the battery life of your mouse by up to 50% compared to mouse pads that have a dark-colored surface, according to 3M.
When moving your mouse across the surface of this pad, it will glide well and is precise most of the time. Mice with optical sensors all tracked well, but we did notice very sporadic tracking issues when we used mice with laser type tracking sensors.
This mouse pad also has a very rigid base and does stay in place well while being used.
- 3M gel padding is firm but flexible.
- Rigid base incorporates battery-saving surface.
- Antimicrobial protection.
- Wrist rest cover gets warm with use.
3 VicTsing Keyboard Wrist Rest Pad & Mouse Wrist Rest, Made of Memory Foam, Superfine Fibre, Support for Office, Computer, Laptop – Durable & Comfortable & Lightweight for Easy Typing & Pain Relief – Best Ergonomic Keyboard and Mouse Pad
Some of the best ergonomic mousepads come included with a padded keyboard wrist rest as a bonus. This next example from VicTsing does just that while still maintaining a reasonable price point.
Both the keyboard and wrist rests are made from memory foam and have an exceptionally soft black Lycra fabric covering them.
We love the memory foam…
The wrist rest is curved and measures 5.31” wide by 2.95” deep. We were delighted at how well the memory foam supported our wrist while only being 0.79” thick.
When you slide the additional keyboard wrist rest on to the desk, you notice just how accommodating it is. It measures an impressive 17.5” long and 3.15” wide, making it suitable for most keyboards.
Great idea, a keyboard and mouse rest in one…
You can comfortably rest both of your arms on this keyboard rest at the same time. It also stays in place rather well thanks to the non-slip textured surface on the bottom of it.
But there’s a catch…
You will need to buy a separate mouse pad since the wrist rest doesn’t incorporate one. However, the fact that you have a dedicated keyboard wrist rest sort of makes up for this, in our opinion.
- Wrist rest for a keyboard and mouse.
- Memory foam cushions.
- Non-slip textured surface.
- You may need to buy a dedicated mousepad.
4 Redragon P020 Gaming Mouse Pad with Wrist Rest Support Memory Foam Wrist Cushion Black Red Thick Version Waterproof Pixel-Perfect Accuracy Optimized for All Computer Mouse Sensitivity MMO Sensors – Best Ergonomic Gaming Mouse Pad
Redragon’s P020 Gaming Mouse Pad has a large 9.84” by 9.84” surface area.
Making it perfect for high-performance gaming mice…
It has a 1.18” tall wrist rest that uses memory foam for padding. This ergonomic memory foam is relatively stiff but still comfortable even over extended periods.
The surface of this mouse pad and wrist rest is made from high-density silk. It even has a waterproof coating in case you spill anything on it.
When it comes to tracking, this mouse pad really excels. Every mouse we tested had no problem gliding across the smooth surface.
The actual surface of the pad is multi-layered. It features multiple points of reflection for laser and optical mouse sensors, thus making tracking even more precise.
Underneath the mouse pad, you will find a silicone rubber base…
It provides an excellent grip across multiple surfaces thanks to the flexibility the silicone offers.
It is super easy to clean this mouse pad, but we noticed a tiny bit of curling around the edges afterward that subsides over time.
- Silk surface allows for pinpoint accuracy.
- Grippy silicone rubber base.
- Compatible will all mouse sensors.
- Waterproof and easy to clean.
- Edges may curl a bit after cleaning.
5 Keyboard Wrist Rest Pad – Full Ergonomic Mouse Pad with Wrist Support Gel Included for Set – Memory Foam Cushion – New Improved Shape – Prevent Carpal Tunnel RSI When Typing on Computer, Mac, Laptop
This is another combo set featuring not only a mousepad but also a keyboard wrist rest. Starting with the keyboard rest, it measures 18” long, which is more than adequate for a standard keyboard.
It only measures 2.6” deep, which is a bit shallow compared to other keyboard wrist rests we have seen. It still gives a decent amount of relief while typing and is considerably better than not using a rest at all.
Moving over to the mouse pad…
You will find an 8.7” wide by 9.8” extended flat surface area. The wrist rest at the back of this mouse pad area is 1” high and rectangular in shape.
Both wrist pads use memory foam for support. This memory foam is top-notch and molds well and springs back to shape after use. It really made our wrists much more comfortable by adding much needed ergonomic support and keeping them cool.
The underside of both the keyboard and mouse pad have neoprene backed surfaces. These are supposed to make them non-slip, but we found this not to be the case.
It doesn’t take much for you to move the mouse pad while using it. The keyboard grip handled better, but we think that was because of the added pressure of both arms placed on it.
- Wrist rest stays cool all day long.
- Memory foam is exceptional.
- Comes with 18” long keyboard wrist rest.
- The neoprene bottom surface does not grip well.
6 Gimars Large Smooth Superfine Fibre Memory Foam Ergonomic Mouse Pad Wrist Rest Support – Mousepad with Nonslip Base for Laptop, Computer, Gaming & Office – Comfortable for Easy Typing & Pain Relief – Fastest Tracking Ergonomic Mouse Pad
Gimars’ super smooth lycra-covered mouse pad has a lot going for it. The foundation of this mouse is super squishy and made of flexible memory foam.
Mice go sailing…
The combination of the memory foam and Lycra used in this pad leaves the surface very slippery. Your mouse will sail quickly across the 8.26” wide by 11” long surface of the pad.
You can even roll this mouse pad up and take it with you. It returns to its original shape without the edges curling up.
The ergonomic wrist rest uses a memory foam cushion to support your wrist. The memory foam in this cushion allows for an inch of elevation from the surface of the table.
It is also very soft and welcoming. You may notice that after using the wrist rest, it takes a few minutes for it to return to its original shape.
That’s not all…
Flip this cover over, and you will notice the textured rubber base that holds the mouse pad in place on most surfaces. This textured surface grips very well on its own, but Gimars has also thrown in a few adhesive rubber pads for added traction.
You will notice a sheet of rubber stickers included in the packaging with this fast-tracking mouse pad…
These stickers will adhere to the bottom of the mouse pad and increase the overall non-slip nature of the pad.
The adhesive pads are a great bonus but do not expect them to last the entirety of the pad’s lifetime. When we moved the mouse pad from one desk to another, we noticed that a few of the pads started to peel off.
- Lycra cover allows for faster mouse tracking.
- Soft and flexible memory foam.
- Large surface area.
- Adhesive pads may fall off over time.
7 Belkin WaveRest Gel Mouse Pad, Black (F8E262-BLK) – Best Budget Ergonomic Mouse Pad
Belkin is a well-known name when it comes to PC products and has been around since 1983. Their WaveRest Gel Pad is one of the best ergonomic mouse pads on the market.
And one of the cheapest…
The wrist rest of this mouse pad features what Belkin calls the GelFlex Comfort Zone that is just over an inch thick. The gel used in this wrist rest is very flexible and conforms well. Thanks to the actual gel cushion being 6” wide and 2” deep, you will find plenty of room for all wrist shapes and sizes.
This mouse pad is extremely lightweight even though it has a large surface area measuring 12.00” by 9.25”.
On the bottom side of the pad, you find a rubber surface for traction. You can quickly move this mouse pad from table to table and find that you have just as excellent a grip.
The polyurethane cover of this mouse pad works well with all mouse types. It has a bit of texture to it, while still allowing your mouse to travel across it easily.
You get what you pay for though…
The shallow price point of this mouse pad raises some durability concerns with us. The flexibility of the pad is great, but over time you might notice the fabric loosen and fray around the edges.
- Substantial polyurethane-covered surface.
- Belkin’sGelFlex Comfort Zone.
- Lightweight and flexible.
- Curling or fraying around the edges is possible.
8 VIPAMZ Ergonomic Mousepad with Wrist Support – Protect Your Wrists and De-Clutter Your Desk – Premium Mouse Pad with Wrist Rest – Latest Custom Non-Slip Design – Best Compact Ergonomic Mouse Pad
This VIPAMZ Ergonomic Mouse Pad features a decently thick gel pad for your wrist to relax on top of. The gel used is quite a bit firmer than what we have experienced from other manufacturers, though.
The surface of the mouse pad is covered in smooth cloth, while the underside of it has a rubber bottom for grip.
This mouse pad is a bit smaller in size than some of the others measuring only 7.9” wide by 8.0” deep. If you have a smaller desk or work area, you will probably prefer the compact form this VIPAMZ mouse pad offers.
It stays in place well, and mouse tracking is good without any signs of skipping or lag…
VIPAMZ includes a nice carry pouch with this mouse pad. When you first take this mouse pad out of the packaging, the actual pad is rolled up in the carry pouch.
The first time we unrolled it, we noticed that it wouldn’t lay completely flat. It retained some curvature throughout the pad, but thankfully this wasn’t permanent.
Give it time, but…
The padding will expand over a short amount of time, getting rid of any curves or curling you might have noticed.
After six months of regular use, we did notice the cloth fabric around the gel wrist rest starts to fray. It kept the gel in place and is entirely useable none the less.
- Compact size.
- Quick mouse tracking.
- Not skipping.
- Rubber bottom provides good grip.
- You may notice the occasional fraying around the gel pad.
Best Ergonomic Mouse Pad Buying Guide
A mouse pad is more than just a smooth, flat surface that your mouse glides across.
No matter if you are young or old, having some ergonomic support when using a mouse is always a good thing.
We have all heard of carpal tunnel syndrome. The likelihood of getting carpal tunnel is only increased when using a mouse.
When you grip a mouse, your fingers are stretched and under tension. This can decrease blood flow and increase the amount of pressure put on your nerves.
Thankfully, this is what an ergonomic mouse pad is designed to help eliminate…
Unfortunately, not all mousepads are created equal. So, we thought we would share some of the key things to look for when shopping for your next ergonomic mouse pad.
The size of your mouse pad directly reflects how much you can move your mouse, thus getting from one place to another on the screen.
Some people will prefer a larger mouse pad, especially when they are gaming. Smaller mouse pads are just as effective but at a cost.
You might need to lift off the actual pad and make repetitive movements to cover the same amount of distance. This can cause extra strain on the wrist to make the cursor travel as far as it usually would on a larger pad.
What your mousepad’s surface is made from will determine how easily it glides and tracks.
A mouse pad with a smooth surface will typically let the mouse slide across the surface much easier than on a textured surface.
A smooth surface makes for rapid tracking and is excellent for fast-paced gaming. It is also easier on your arms and wrists over an extended period.
Textured mousepads typically offer better control. They can still track just as quickly, but the slight resistance you get from the texture can be wearing on your wrists over the day.
You will typically find built-in wrist rests, or detachable wrist rests on mouse pads that add ergonomic support.
When you rest your wrist or arm over these supportive cushions, they end up elevating the position at which you hold your mouse.
This, in turn, creates a much more natural and comfortable experience. It eliminates any unnecessary strain placed on your wrist and promotes blood flow.
You typically find that wrist rests are made from either memory foam or gel. Memory foam can vary in stiffness but will mold to the shape of your wrist over time.
Gel padded wrist rests are equally as soft as memory foam, but they do not conform to your wrist shape as much. On the other hand, gel typically retains its original form better over time.

Final Thoughts On The Best Ergonomic Mouse Pads
Out of all the mousepads we have tested in this review, one stood out above the rest to us. The winner is the…Redragon P020 Gaming Mouse Pad
For everyday use, this pad is excellent and even works exceptionally well while playing games. The fine multi-layered, silk surface provided the most accurate mouse tracking, in our opinion.
No matter the type of mouse we used on it, we never noticed any sign of skipping. Gliding your mouse over the sizable silky-smooth surface could not be more relaxed while still providing fantastic accuracy.
The memory foam used is very supportive in all the right ways. It is thick and firm at first use but molds to your wrist well over time, leaving you very comfortable even over long periods. And let’s not forget this mouse pad from Redragon is also waterproof. It’s easy to clean and will last a suitably long time.
Here’s to a more comfortable day at the computer.
