Once you have taken the time to adapt to a different shaped mouse, you’ll notice the Logitech MX Vertical has plenty of high-end features. It supports both Bluetooth and wireless dongle connection options.
If you don’t like relying on wireless, you can still use the USB-A to USB Type-C cable and use it as a wired mouse. There is even a quick-swapping button underneath that allows you to easily swap between up to three wireless connections.

Designed for performance…
Specifically for right-handed use, the mouse features eight buttons and an oversized thumb wing. On the top, you will find a left and right click panel surrounding a clickable scroll wheel. Just underneath the wheel is a small button to switch between scrolling styles.
On the side, there are two macro buttons and a second scroll wheel. You’ll also discover what’s called a gesture button, which offers four extra inputs. This works by holding down the button, then moving the mouse either up, down, left, or right.

3Dconnexion has created a CAD-specific mouse for professional use that can take the daily abuse users regularly throw at them. This is a corded mouse and doesn’t offer any wireless connection options, so if that bothers you, skip ahead to the following product.
Quality construction…
The layout of the CadMouse is a left, right, and middle-click panel, scroll wheel, quick command button, and side buttons. The buttons are customizable thanks to the 3DxWare software, which can be downloaded from the 3Dconnexion website.
Quality materials have been used to construct this mouse, like the stainless steel lower bezel, which adds strength but not weight. The USB cable connecting the mouse to your PC is six feet (1.8m) and has a tangle-resistant robust braided jacket.

Designed as a right-hand wireless mouse, there are an incredible 15 inputs available. On top, you’ll find a left and right click panel, two DPI buttons within the left panel, a clickable scroll wheel with two tilt inputs, and two further buttons underneath the wheel.
On the mouse’s right side, where your thumb rests, there are six buttons that can have macros assigned to them. They have been well-designed, feel comfortable to use, and are placed in a convenient position.

Wireless connection can be completed using either a 2.4Ghz dongle or via Bluetooth. How long the single AA battery will last before needing replacing will depend on which connection type you choose.
Using the dongle will offer up to 240 hours of use, while Bluetooth is claimed to provide up to five months on Bluetooth alone. Once connected, assigning all those buttons can be completed using the G Hub software, which is easy to navigate and configure everything just the way you like.

While the previous gaming mice we have shown you are designed for MMO games, this product is an all-rounder. Without requiring so many buttons, this has left room for a more ergonomic and molded design.
Like a glove…
This is genuinely one of the most comfortable mice here. There is a textured, natural curved grip that will suit most hand sizes, as long as you’re right-handed. We did mention there were fewer buttons, but that doesn’t mean it’s running short either.
There are 13 customizable buttons that have been well spaced out. Besides the left and right panel buttons, there is a clickable scroll wheel with a button below it, three index finger buttons, and four thumb buttons.
Multiple connection options…
Connecting to your PC can be completed using either the low-profile dongle or by using the micro USB cable. If you need to recharge the built-in NiMH battery during play, you can connect the cable without interfering with the connection.
Tracking can be set between 200 and 8,200 DPI for complete control over the accuracy levels required for each program. Using the software downloaded from the Logitech website will allow users to assign functions and profiles of their choice.

Next, we have what is probably the most unconventional design out of all the products here. Once again, it is yet another product from Logitech, proving their dominance in the peripherals market. This is because they make such quality products at affordable prices.
While a conventional mouse is dragged around the desk to move the cursor, the M570 uses a trackball operated by your thumb. The other button layouts are like you would be used to, and after a short learning curve, we think you’ll enjoy the relief offered to your wrist and hand.
Something worth learning…
Besides the removable trackball nestled in where your right thumb rests, there are some conventional buttons. To get started, insert the single AA battery and plug in the 2.4Ghz dongle to your PC’s USB port.
There are the standard two regular left and right panel buttons for your index and middle finger. Between them is a clickable scroll wheel with an outstanding level of resistance. Finally, there are two index finger buttons perfect for navigating backward and forward.
A massive advantage…
Because a sensor is not needed for tracking, you can use this mouse on any surface. It will work on glass, a blanket, carpet, or even just sitting on your leg. Of course, all the buttons are fully customizable and can be assigned to any function you like.

8 Razer DeathAdder Elite – Best Mechanical Mouse for Architects
To finish off our product selection, here is the second product from Razer, and yes, it’s another gaming mouse. The DeathAdder Elite is a little more subdued than the Naga but still offers Chroma RGB lighting.
The DeathAdder feels comfortable to hold with its hump design, along with a bulge on the right-hand side. It fits in the hand remarkably well and is described as a palm grip mouse as opposed to the claw style that some others prefer.
Scaled back and simplified…
While all the other gaming mice have offered more buttons than you can poke a stick at, the DeathAdder has only seven in comparison. Starting with the left and right panel buttons, there is a clickable scroll wheel in between them.
Underneath the wheel, you’ll find two more buttons preset for DPI adjustment up and down. Finally, on the left side, you’ll find two thumb buttons. All the controls can, of course, be mapped and have macros set using the Logitech software.
Getting all sensitive…
Tracking can be set between 200 DPI and an incredibly sensitive and accurate 16,000 DPI. Having this level of adjustable on-the-fly tracking can be incredibly useful for use in CAD programs when swapping between tasks.
There is no wireless function; this is a corded mouse. Not a huge issue when you consider all the other great features like mechanical switches and rubber side grips for comfort. The scroll wheel is also our favorite to use out of all the products here.
