Best Printers For Stickers In 2023 – Top 6 Rated Reviews

Stickers are a fantastic, cost-effective, and easy-to-implement way of boosting a brand’s presence in the day to day world. Whether they are placed on the rear windscreen of a car, in the bathroom of your favorite watering hole, or pretty much anywhere else you can think of, they have this almost magnetic pull that can be hard for the eyes to ignore.

And compared to online or many other types of marketing strategies, there are no ongoing expenses involved. And whatever message you put out there on a sticker will be there for the world to see for a long time coming (or at least until it starts to fade).

But stickers are not just for brand awareness. There are so few things in the world that can take us back to those play-filled, childhood days like a great sticker!

So no matter if you’re looking to advertise or just have a good time, we’ve compiled a list of all the best printers for stickers available right now!

1 Canon 2986C002 PIXMA TS6220 Wireless All In One Photo Printer – Best Printer for Low Cost Vinyl Stickers

Although the Canon 2986C002 PIXMA TS6220 is advertised as a “photo printer,” this top-notch all in one machine really can do it all! And that includes printing amazing stickers. Efficient, smart, and great-looking, we have started this list with a unit that will take some beating.

Set up is an absolute breeze with this one. Simply download the Canon Print App on your Apple or Android smartphone, press the connect button, and you’re away! Connecting to a PC or Mac is also as simple as all the cables required are in the box.

 Five cartridge setup…

Canon has gone with a five cartridge setup here, which translates into a huge tonal range. The colors genuinely pop, and the blacks are deep and moody. A max resolution of 4800 x 1200 PPI means that any output, from photos to graphics and stickers, are more than detailed enough for almost any usage.

Duplex printing is on offer with the Canon 2986C002 PIXMA TS6220, saving not only money but also time.

But as the name suggests, this is not just a printer!

Oh no, this is a multi-function device, meaning you can also scan or photocopy with this unit. There is a range of features built into the copier, such as reduction/enlargement (25 to 400%), borderless copy, auto exposure copy, two-sided copy, and more. The scanner does a genuinely great job also.

And since this is an InkJet machine, you will have no issues with printing on vinyl if that’s what you are looking for!

  • High resolution.
  • Great color handling.
  • Duplex printing.
  • Can print vinyl stickers.

Cons

  • The inbuilt touch panel can be a little unresponsive.

2 Epson WorkForce WF-7710 Wireless Wide-format Color All In One Inkjet Printer – Best Printer for Large Vinyl Stickers

Next up in our best printers for stickers reviews, we have the absolute behemoth that is the Epson WorkForce WF-7710. If you are looking for a super-tabloid (tech printer speak for really big) printer that can handle just about any task you could throw at it, then look no further than this incredible machine!

It’s capable of printing up to thirteen by nineteen inches (that’s 33 x 48’ish centimeters), which is just ridiculously big and so much fun.

High energy efficiency…

With a max resolution of 2400, well needed for documents this size. This unit also has a high energy efficiency rating, very fairly priced ink for the four cartridge setup, a large and easy to use touchpad, and pretty much all the connectivity options available. This includes Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, connecting to a PC or Mac via USB, and NFC or near-field communication.

If you are looking to connect to this printer with your smartphone, you also have many options from Epson, or you can opt to use an extensive range of third-party apps, such as Google Cloud Print or Apple AirPrint.

Great, but what about the output?

Let’s just say you will not be disappointed! We used this unit to print some large stickers for a friend’s upcoming band tour, and they look fantastic. Smaller stickers also came out great, as did photos and worksheets. Extremely versatile.

The copy and scan functions work so well, with the scanner maybe doing the best job of the bunch. And just like the last offering, this is an InkJet, so no problems with printing to vinyl.

Epson WorkForce WF-7710 Wireless Wide-format Color All In One Inkjet Printer

Our rating:4.4 out of 5 stars (4.4 / 5)

Pros

  • Amazing scan function.
  • Endless connectivity options.
  • Versatile.

  • Slightly slower output than some of the competition.

3 Epson EcoTank ET-2750 Wireless Color All-in-One Cartridge-Free Supertank – Most Economical Printer for Stickers

If keeping running and ink costs at a minimum is of high importance to you, then the Epson EcoTank ET-2750 is probably the best printer to check out first!

Not only does it come stocked with a tremendous amount of ink when you first purchase a unit, but it is also much cheaper to restock than many of the competitors. This cost-saving measure is achieved by the use of refillable tanks instead of cartridges, and the price per page for both color and B&W prints is very low indeed.

That’s not the only thing going for this unit, though!

With more than respectable printing speeds (10.5 pages per minute), resolution of 5760 x 1440 optimized dpi, a 2-year warranty, voice-activated printing, and that’s not to mention the considerable reduction in waste. One set of replacement ink bottles is the same as about 80 individual cartridges used by other equivalent printers.

Simple setup…

Setup is straightforward, with a direct peer-to-peer connection to a computer or mobile device via Wi-Fi Direct. Should you prefer to work through a companion app, the Epson iPrint app does a great job of making things streamlined and easy. An SD card reader is also on offer.

Again this is an InkJet, so there are no worries about working with all types of media, including vinyl.

Not the highest quality but so cheap to run…

Overall this is a solid competitor, and while the results may sometimes be slightly lacking compared to others on this list, the added eco and cost benefits may outway these concerns.

4 Canon Pixma MG3620 Wireless All-In-One Color Inkjet Printer – Best Budget Printer for Stickers

If you are hunting for the best printer for stickers with the lowest price tag, then your search is over! The Canon Pixma MG3620 is ridiculously cheap, has printing speeds that rival much higher priced units, and delivers top-notch prints.

Available in either matte-black or white, this unit has quite a small footprint. Incorporating it into an already set up home office is easy, and it looks great sitting next to our PC. Although there is no touch screen control panel, the array of buttons are simply laid out and make usage super easy.

And duplex printing is included!

That’s right; if printing two-sided is something you’re looking for (as we are), then thankfully, Canon has you covered here.

The output of color prints is among the fastest we have ever tested, with a page per minute speed of around 27 seconds. But don’t let that worry you in terms of quality; the Pixma MG3620 produces sharp and clean images. The color resolution of 4800 x 1200 PPI is high enough to produce fantastic sticker prints time and again.

A pleasure to use…

Connecting to the printer is as easy as can be, with support for all platforms – including PC, Mac, Android, and iPhones. As we mentioned a bit earlier in this review, the Canon app is powerful and seamless, making this printer a dream to use.

5 HP OfficeJet 5255 Wireless All-in-One Printer – Best Printer for Stickers with Automatic Ink Ordering

The guys and girls over at HP have done something pretty smart with the OfficeJet 5255.

What’s that then?

Automatic ink ordering. If you opt in, your printer will automatically order ink once it runs low, and this ink is delivered right to your door and at a very reasonable price. This not only takes the worry out of running out of ink, but also you will never need to run out to the store to stock back up!

If you sign up with “HP Instant Ink” (HP’s optional monthly program), you will receive your first two months of ink free of charge. And plans start at $0.99 per month after the trial period, with shipping and recycling thrown in for free. A great little addition to a superb printer!

The sleek design incorporates an easy to use touch screen, duplex printing, dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity, and a small enough footprint to fit onto most home office desks. As with most big-name brands, the HP Smart app works exceptionally well for both iOS or Android.

Great paper size range…

There is a huge range of paper sizes (A4, legal, 4 x 6 inches, 5 x 7 inches, 8 x 10 inches, and No 10 envelope) supported, making this one of the more versatile printers on the market right now. The print resolution of 4800 x 1200 PPI is what we are used to seeing on this list, and the output is clean, with bold colors and deep blacks. We are sure you won’t be disappointed with the stickers this great unit produces!

Best Printers For Stickers Buyer’s Guide

Canon Pixma MG3620 Wireless All-In-One Color Inkjet Printer with Mobile and Tablet Printing, Black

Print Medium

The two mediums mainly used in sticker production are paper and vinyl.

Paper stickers are much cheaper to produce and can be used in a wide range of settings. The main downside of paper stickers is that they do not fare well in inclement weather. This is where vinyl stickers come into play.

Vinyl stickers have a few main advantages. Firstly they are resistant to humidity and moisture. In general, they are much more durable than paper stickers, and they come in matte, semi-gloss, or gloss.

InkJet or LaserJet

When it comes time to select either an InkJet or LaserJet printer for the ideal printers for stickers, there are a few main points to consider.

Firstly, if you are looking to produce a large number of stickers, then you may want to consider a LaserJet printer. They handle bulk printing jobs better than InkJets and do so more efficiently. But, Laser printers produce much more heat in the printing process than InkJets (up to 400 degrees), which makes them unsuitable for most vinyl printing jobs.

Sharper line work…

LaserJets, in general, also tend to produce sharper line work. This is not across the board, though, with many InkJet printers doing a fantastic job.

Remember to always check that the print media you choose is compatible with your printer. Using InkJet paper in a LaserJet or the other way around can cause severe damage to your printer, so always double-check!

Ink Cartridges And Ink

WorkForce WF-7710 Wireless Wide-format Color Inkjet Printer with Copy, Scan, Fax, Wi-Fi Direct and Ethernet, Amazon Dash Replenishment Ready

How many ink cartridges and what type of ink is used in these cartridges is very important when considering which printer is the best printer for your stickers. The answer to this query can vary widely depending on what type, size, and medium of stickers you want to produce.

Take note…

Printer manufacturers will always suggest that you choose their ink over third party options, and while it may be true in some circumstances that the manufacturer’s ink is the best for the job, this is not always the case.

Definitely do some research here and work out which ink is best for the job at hand.

In terms of the number of ink cartridges, more is always better. The higher the number of cartridges, the higher the color precision will be.

Resolution

Anything under about 1200ppi (pixels per inch) will probably not produce the results you are looking for unless you want to create a low-resolution image such as 8-bit art.

Once again, go for a printer with the highest PPI resolution that fits your budget.
